Biography
Dr. Ahalapitiya H. Jayatissa (Jay) is a Professor of mechanical, industrial and manufacturing engineering at the University of Toledo. His current research is in the application of nanomaterials in semiconductor devices, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and energy conversion and storage devices. Jay also won the outstanding faculty research award in Engineering in 2011 and Excellence in Supervision of Undergraduate Research Award in 2012. Before joining UT, he had been working at the Imaging Device Division at the Research and Technical Laboratory (STRL) of Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) in Tokyo and Materials and Chemistry Divisions in Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) in the USA. He has authored/co-authored more than 120 refereed papers and 30 conference proceedings.
