    Biography

    O.P. Mishra is a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (F.N.A.Sc.) for his pioneering work involving Applied Geophysics / Seismology / Disaster Risk Management having over 32-years of experience in different field of earth sciences and seismology and exploration Geophysics. Presently, he is working with Ministry of Earth Sciences as Adviser / Scientist G & Director, National Centre for Seismology. He obtained M.Sc. Tech degree from IIT (ISM)-Dhanbad in Applied Geophysics; Ph.D.; D.Sc. from Geodynamics Research Centre, Japan in Seismology; PGDMA from AIMA, New Delhi in Finance Management. Dr. Mishra worked with: IDRC-Canada in a joint venture project with CMPDIL, Coal India during 1992 - 1995; served Geological Survey of India for about 20-years (1995 – 2014). He worked with SAARC Disaster Management Centre, New Delhi as the Head / Director; He also worked at GRC-Japan as the FOREIGN Visiting Guest Professor.

    D.C. Naskar received M.Sc. degree in Physics from Calcutta University. He was conferred with doctorate degrees from Jadavpur University. He has experience in the diverse fields including teaching and technical streams of different institutes at state and central level in India. Dr. D.C. Naskar has a total of 32 years (1989-2021) of experience in the field of exploration geophysics at different capacities in Geological Survey of India (GSI) where he deployed different geophysical methods in the Indian sub-continent for resolving various geological problems associated with mineral exploration and to understand geodynamical processes.
