    Biography

    Fatima Zahra Fakir obtained a Ph.D. in Economics and Sustainable Tourism and is currently an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Department of Economics and Business Sciences, University of Padova (DSEA). Her research interests include smart tourism, sustainable development and cultural heritage.

    Erdem Baydeniz is currently a Lecturer at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. He has authored several national and international articles, papers, and book chapters, and his research interests include gastronomy, neuro gastroenterology, and the dynamics of tourism management, such as sustainability, crisis management, and the resilience of tourism destinations.

    The Future of Blockchain in Tourism and Hospitality: Global Insights offers a contribution in terms of additional exploration and reflection of the outcomes of previous studies on blockchain technology in the tourism sector. According to the outcomes of the chapters, blockchain cannot be considered yet as a valid solution for the problems afflicting tourism.
