Biography

Dr. Abbie Brown is a Professor at East Carolina University teaching in the Instructional Technology Program. He is a recipient of numerous awards for teaching, scholarship and instructional media production, including: the University of North Carolina Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching, the AECT (Association for Educational Communications and Technology)  Immersive Learning Award, and the New Jersey Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching. He served as editor-in-chief of the journal TechTrends from 2009 to 2012, and is author of numerous books on educational technology. His bi-weekly podcast series, Trends & Issues in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, & Learning Sciences (co-produced with Tim Green) has a large, worldwide following.

Dr. Brown provides consultation, presentations and workshops for school districts, colleges and universities, the U.S. government, and businesses worldwide.
