I teach the History of Science at the “Gabriele D’Annunzio” University in Chieti. I have taught for many years at the University of Munich, and have been fellow of the Harvard University Center for Itallian Renaissance Studies—Villa I Tatti, Florence. I am the author of numerous books and articles, including In the Wake of Galileo (1991) and Peano’s Axioms in their Historical Context (1994).
