Nima Mersadi Tabari, is Visiting Lecturer at The Dickson Poon School of Law and Lecturer in Law at Swansea University.He is a GradEI member of the Energy Institute and before joining academia has been a dispute resolution consultant focusing on the petroleum industry in particular and commercial and investment arbitration in general. Nima, teaches International Investment Law, World Trade Law, International Commercial Law, Arbitration, International Corporate Governance and Oil and Gas Law.

Biography

Before joining Swansea, Nima had taught International Investment Law, World Trade Law, International Commercial Law and International Mooting at King’s College London and WTO Law at SOAS. He has been a dispute resolution consultant focusing on the petroleum industry in particular and commercial and investment arbitration in general and has served as a case author, judge, arbitrator and coach in many international mooting competitions including Vis, Jessup, FDI and Telders Moots.

Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

    Nima is broadly interested in petroleum law, legal history and international and transnational dispute resolution including commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, international adjudication and WTO dispute settlement. He is in particular focused on investment treaty arbitration and the advent of lex petrolea.
