Biography
Throughout my academic and professional career I have always focused on the Middle East and North Africa trying to develop my expertise in the field of comparative politics of the region, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, democratization and conflict studies.I also have a strong interest in regionalism within the region and have studied it from the bottom up and non-European perspective.
I hold a PhD in comparative politics from the Università Normale of Pisa (Florence branch) with a thesis on comparative institutional and political transition in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco between 2011 and 2014. I also got a Masters' Degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS)-University of London in 2008.
