Retired headteacher, inspector, and consultant, I trained as an Historical Ecologist with University of Leicester and am now living in The Highlands of Scotland. My wife and I are volunteer guides witha local museum, and are developing a Highland woodland and mountain garden, as well as running the longest running transect for Butterfly Conservation.
Biography
Over the last four years I have been involved in researching and writing booklets for the History of Boat of Garten, whose timespab runs from the Mesolithic to coming of the railways in 1865.I have recently completed a modern History of Clan Grant, Celbrated Grants, and Grant Military histories for our museum.

I am currently researching early medieval Irish texts and their influences, or not, on what early Cruithin (Pictish) society may have been like, given the modern scholarship regarding the similarities between the various ancient languages of Britain - ancient Welsh, Irish, British, Cornish and Pictish.
