Biography
I am an author and Clinical Psychologist from Brisbane, Australia, who loves to help people to build strong connections with those who matter most to them. I have over 23 years' experience as a psychologist in a wide variety of settings and I have always been interested in helping therapists to expand their skills. After discovering Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I have made human bonding the central focus of my work. As a result, I became a Certified EFT trainer with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and have helped therapists from all over the world learn this powerful model of therapy. I am the Director of the Australian Centre for Emotionally Focused Therapy where I provide training in EFT for therapists and of my therapy clinic, the Brisbane Centre for Attachment & Relationships, where I work with a talented group of clinicians.I hope that my books help therapists and everyday people to harness the power of attachment theory and EFT to live full and meaningful lives, in loving connection with the special people in their lives.
