My research interests are wide-ranging including retirement, pensions, unemployment, immigration, gambling, discrimination, and how to ensure students succeed. Most of my writing is focused on Canada and -- more recently -- South Korea. I publish extensively on current affairs in newspapers and other outlets.

Biography
Thomas R. Klassen is a professor and author who teaches about, and writes on, public policy and administration, and how to ensure students succeed.He is co-author of the just released The Essential Guide to Studying Abroad: From Success in the Classroom to a Fulfilling Career.
His most recent co-edited book is Ageing in Asia-Pacific: Interdisciplinary and Comparative Perspectives.
He is co-editor of The Routledge Handbook of Global Public Policy and Administration, a leading-edge guide for students, scholars and practitioners.
Also recently published is How to Succeed at University (and Get a Great Job!): Mastering the Critical Skills You Need for School, Work and Life. A French language edition of the book was just published.
Based in Toronto, Canada, he travels widely.
